Elemental Superheros/villains

This year I have been trying to add creativity to my classroom and do projects instead of just worksheets and labs. For our chemistry unit on the periodic table I found a cool project on TeachersPayTeachers.com and I implemented it into my classroom. The project is called,  Periodic Table Element Superhero Project

I let the kids sign-up for an element and create a poster of their superhero/villain. I did the project on Google Classroom and had them design a poster on 11 x 17 paper which I then printed out the posters the kids made. It also tied into our basketball tournament, in that the theme for the tournament was "Superheros" and the posters were fun to have hanging up during the tournament. Super fun and the kids learned a lot.
